Forget the snow, celebrate Burns Night!

Sir Alan Beith and the Liberal Democrats are holding an evening of light hearted toasts and delicious food to honour the life and poetry of Rabbie Burns at a Burns' Supper to be held in Alnwick on Saturday 16th January 2010.

As well as enjoying a three course dinner including haggis (vegetarian if preferred), tatties and bashed neeps and a choice of delicious sweets, there will be the usual speeches including Sir Alan Beith MP's Appreciation of the Immortal Memory. The evening will conclude with entertainment from Jim Smith, Liz 0 and The Fake Tartan Ceilidh Band and songs from Rothbury baritone, John Kirk and Vivace.

The Burns Night Supper is being held at St Michael's Hall, Alnwick at 6.30pm for 7.00pm. A limited number of tickets are still available at £16 each /£30 for two from the Liberal Democrat office at 54 Bondgate Within, Alnwick NE66 1JD, telephone 01665 602901 or email on berwicklibdems@yahoo.co.uk
