Rennington Post Office could be revived, says Beith

11.15.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 6th Jun 2006

Alan Beith MP is working with the Post Office to see if anything can be done to restore the facility at Rennington.

Alan says

"I've been talking to the Post Office, and it seems that we are looking for a member of the local community to come forward to take on the role of postmaster or postmistress.

"One of the problems is that the person would need to have suitable premises but recently Post Offices have been run from a range of locations including pubs, shops and even people's homes.

"I hope someone will come forward who will be able to revive this service for Rennington."

Anyone who may be interested in finding out more should contact the Post Office Recruitment Team on 0845 601 6260.
